Hi!
Quiet weekend. Wasn't feeling too good on Friday, so I didn't go out. Frankie's party was the last time
I went out and did some serious pounding. Probably healthier that way, but alot less fun. But
Thanksgiving weekend is fast approaching.... So stay tuned.
News Item: High school homos in trouble.
Last week, some students from Harvey Milk High School in the Village were arrested for posing as
undercover cops as prostitutes and demanding bribes from potential johns. Also, a couple of students
were arrested on harassment charges.
Harvey Milk High School is the first high school in America, (if not the world) that caters to students
that are either homosexual or trans-gender (whatever the hell THAT entails) It was designed so that kids
of these various persuasions could avoid being picked on by "straight" students.
Now I realize that this was a small percentage of the students that were causing trouble. But it sort of
defeats the purpose, if you put these kids in a high school so they don't get harassed by the general
public, they shouldn't then go out and harass the general public, no?
The other thing I don't get is this: If homosexuals ultimate goal is to be accepted in mainstream
society, shouldn't they be against a segregated high school?
Just asking.
This is turning out to be the worst sports year I have ever experienced. All four of my major teams (Mets,
Jets, Knicks Rangers) will probably finish with losing records. The first time that has happened since
1977. The Jets, my last hope for a .500 record, lost to the Colts 38-31. They'd have to go 5-1 to finish at
8-8. Not gonna happen.
If a guy came up to me and said he enjoyed the Hallmark Channel, I'd wonder if he had graduated
from Harvey Milk High School. But check out their daily schedule: Bonanza at 9 AM and 6 PM, M*A*S*H
from 4 PM to 6 PM, and again from 10 PM to midnight. Saturday's are all Westerns and Sunday's are all
detective/cop shows. In fact, it bears a striking resemblance to the network that I put together in April
2002. (I'll have to dig that up and send it to y'all again) Anyway if you're ever home and stuck for
something to watch, check it out. http://www.hallmarkchannel.com
The Beatles are releasing a CD called Let It Be "Naked". It's the original Let it Be album, with all of Phil
Spector's overdubs taken out. Spector is having a bad year. First he gets accused of murder, then he
has all his work on a famous Beatle album stripped away.
In any event, the album provides the listener with a chance to hear classics like The Long and Winding
Road, Let it Be and Across the Universe, without it sounding like the Beatles had an orchestra in the
studio with them. Q-104.3 has been playing tracks from the CD, and just it time for the holidays, it will be
released on Tuesday.
Arnold Schwartzeneger will be sworn in as governor of California Monday. The dawn of a new era or
the end of the world as we know it? We'll soon find out.
Have a Great Week
Wild Bill
