Hello All

Lots going on these past few days. Firstly

BABY NEWS: Ray and Maureen are the proud parents of Liam McGarvey, who checked in early morning
February 26. Congratulations to the 2nd time parents.

THE OSCARS: Right before the Oscars started, I gave a co-worker of mine a list of who I wanted to win
and who I thought would win. All my predictions came true, but nobody I was rooting for won. Here was
my rooting list

Movie: Seabiscut      Actor: Bill Murray   Actress: Keisha Castle-Hughes, Supporting Actor: Alec Baldwin
and Supporting actress I didn't care.
oh for 5

I missed Billy Crystal's monolouge, which I'm sure was very funny. I did hear Bagdahd Sean Penn's
crack about WMD's, but at least he didn't make a total ass of himself as did Michael Moore last year.
From what I saw, it was a boring, terribly predicatle snoozefest.
And what's the deal with having the Oscars on February 29? I remember not too long ago, the Oscars
being on a Monday night in April, now its a Sunday night in February? All to take advantage of TV
ratings. It's ridiculous. Does the term "leave well enough alone" mean anything to these people?

SUPER TUESDAY

John Kerry didn't sweep the 10 state Super Tuesday contests. Intrestingly, it was Howard Dean, whose
no longer actively running, who dealt Kerry his only loss of the evening. Dean who again is NOT
RUNNING, trounced Kerry in Dean's homestate of Vermont.
Once John Edwards saw that he wasn't going to blow Kerry out in Gerogia, he too decided to call it a
campaign. Kerry now has a clear path to the nomination. Unless you count those two schmucks, Al
Sharpton and Dennis Kucinich.
Although I grew to like Edwards, the one thing I didn't like about him was that he insisted that the
country needed a Southerner to win the White House. The last time we had someone from the north as
President it was Gerald Ford, the only President who wasn't elected. The last time we had a President
elected from the north it was JFK. So maybe he had a point, but to me that's just wrong. Maybe its time
we had a Northeasterner in the White House.
Kerry won the Georgia Primary by the shorthairs, but blew Edwards out of every other race, especailly
here in NY. The last numbers I saw were Kerry with 61% and Edwards with 20%. Reverand Al came in 3rd
with 8%

THE HUNT FOR BIN LADEN

I was reading in TIME this week about how the U.S. is once again planning an offensive along the
Pakistani-Afghanistan border in order to catch Osama Bin-Laden and other Al-Qaeda and Taliban
reminents thought to be hiding out there. No call me a liberal cynic, but the fact that the manhunt for Bin-
Laden is starting up again wouldn't have anything to do with this being an election year would it? I mean,
the way President Bush made it sound, we never really stopped looking for him in the first place. YET:
The Time article says that the same team used to catch Saddam Hussein is now being sent to the
border region. Also, the number of peacekeepers in Afghanistan was 20,000 while it stands at 130,000
and counting in Iraq.
In other words, this theory that the Iraq war wouldn't affect the hunt for Al-Qaeda was more bullsh-t
from the White House. This is the kind of stuff that sends Michael Moore and Al Franken book sales
through the roof.

That's all for this week folks. Have a Great Week
Wild B.
