Sorry for the lack of Weekly Mail, instead here are some
MID WEEK RANTS
1) Here's one for you Bush conspiracy theorists. The national average for a
gallon of gas is over two bucks for the first time in US History. But guess
which major city has the lowest price per gallon in the nation.
If you said Houston TX, give yourself a cee-gar.
2) George Soros, a millionaire who has given millions of dollars to parties
interested in defeating President Bush in November, said that "the war on
terror has claimed more innocent lives than the terrorist attacks of 9/11." He
added that things started going seriously wrong, when Bush went to war with
the terrorists"
And my questions is, "What should we have done? Negotiate? Convert? Surrender?
Remember, this isn't the war in Iraq that Mr. Soros is talking about, he means
the whole war on terror.
3) Roger Clemens is leading the National League in wins and Armando Benitez is
leading the league in saves. yet rather than flip out, I offer these positive
thoughts.
The Rocket will eventrally come back to earth. When he's hot he's very hot,
but with a lack of a deep bullpen in Houston, he will turn cold very soon.
As for Armando, he will also revert to his non-dependable self as soon as he
pitches in a meaningful game. I can't wait to see him pitch his first game
back at Shea. When the fans will boo his ass and he will blow the save. He's a
mental weakling.
4) And although I really have gotten over it, I had to chuckle the other day
when I read how Joe Torre was complaining that the shortstop for the Angels
hit Jorge Posada in the face on a routine throw to first base. Yet he saw
nothing wrong with Clemens throwing a bat at Mike Piazza.
5) I went out Monday night (yes Monday night) with some of the crew from the
Post. We got tossed out of one bar and asked to keep it down in another. This
was downtown, too. John Vasquez, one of our web designers, thought it was a
left wing conspiracy. Don't get me wrong, John's as liberal as they come, but
he thought they made us as Post workers, and wanted us and our right wing
agenda out of their bar.
F-ck 'em. I say.
I got home at 4 AM sharp with a solid freak on, just around the time most
y'all were starting to get up for work.
Well that's all from here peeps. Have a Great Rest of the Week
Wild Bill
